Palmos Analysis completed the project "Survey-Study" as part of the assignment by the Youth and Lifelong Learning Foundation for the implementation of Action 4, Phase B "Survey-Study" of the Acts "Education of Immigrants in the Greek Language, Greek History & Culture/ ODYSSEAS-AP 7,8".
The project "Education of Immigrants in the Greek Language, Greek History, and Greek Culture – ODYSSEAS" is aimed at EU citizens and third-country nationals, regardless of origin, aged 16 and over, who reside legally in Greece. It is part of the Operational Program "Education and Lifelong Learning" of the Ministry of Culture, Education & Religious Affairs and is co-financed by the European Union and the Hellenic Republic.
The aim of the educational program is for participants to acquire the language skills and practical social and intercultural competencies required for their own social integration and that of their families.
The Education Program is structured into the following levels: A1 (lasting 125 hours), A2 (lasting 175 hours), B1 (lasting 185 hours), and B1 with a focus on oral comprehension and production (lasting 195 hours). The courses are offered in all regions of the country and are provided at no cost to the participants.
The research study focuses on analyzing the educational material used during instruction, mapping the teaching practices followed in the classrooms, and determining the learning outcomes of the participants in terms of proficiency in the Greek language and fundamental aspects of Greek history and culture. Aiming to extract all necessary information and critical factors for the successful implementation of the project, both qualitative and quantitative data collection methods were utilized during the research.
